Welcome to "John Port School Band Alumni" Online

So you've found the site and your saying what's it all about?

I've set it up to allow current & old members of John Port School & Melle Gymnasium bands to keep in touch with what is going on, hopefully it will also be a place where old friends are able to keep in contact or regain contact with each other. I have set up the basic layout of the website but have not filled it with much information, this is in the hope that people will send me information so that it is not all my views, pictures, stories, etc. You can see the pages that I have set up so if there is anything you feel you can add then send it to me, or if there's anything else that you think could be added then just send it to me and I'll add it!
There is also a chance to sign on to an email list which will keep you in touch with any reunion events and all the present members so that you know if there is someone around that you would like to contact.

06/11/03: JPSB Online is Validated

I'm really pleased with myself I've managed to make my website valid (hence the logos). To the naked eye the site doesn't look any different but the coding used to design the website is all correct now.

21/10/03: JPSB Same look easier to use

I've just started to use css more to design sites, removing the use of tables, I like the look so I kept it very similar move things round slightly - removing some less useful pages and restructuring so you don't have to reload lots of pages, so it should be quicker and easier to navigate.

03/10/03: JPSB Online Gets a new look

After a bit more experience with designing website I decided to give the site a bit of a revamp, I've given it a completely new look and tried to make it easier to navigate

01/03/03: JPSB Alumni Online Launched

The first version of the site is launched, fairly happy with the layout and easy of use for my first ever site

15/02/03: Beta version

I upload the first version of the site, hardly any text as of yet and some bugs

30/01/03: Design Starts

Having never designed a website before I started work, with a lot of help from a flat mate a uni (that helps me a lot), worked out the design and start the code

12/01/03: Ideas and 1st step for JPSB Online

After the poor turn out for the reunion of JPSB in October, the main complain was that there was no way that ex-members new it was going on, the best way to solve this - set up a website. I set about registering the website!

Firstly a bit about me, just so you know who I am and who you are contacting (if you don't know already). I was a French horn player in the band for 8 years from about 1992 to 2000, so fairly recently. I was involved with the Melle Exchange for all my time in the band and was lucky enough to go over to Germany 3 times. My brother John played trombone in the band around the same time.

If you would like to send me any information (pictures, stories, etc), find an old friend, suggest improvements to this website, let people know of any events that are on or anything else you can think of then here's where you can contact me.
